Class Project Photos

We had two workdays last week. The group on the left is seen shortly after work began. The overgrown beds are visible behind us. The kids on the right are near the end of their work day. Note the newly pruned trees, fresh mulch and happy faces!!! What an improvement!

Jan was key in getting the project underway by working with other classmates and the staff at Kennedy Elementary School. Her she is on the first work day removing weeds and old plants. As you can see, the garden had become badly overgrown.

The work days created lots of trash. Jon and Vicki are busy getting rid of what could not be composted. The school's dumpster became a popular "destination" as the crew removed old plants and weeds.
