Welcome to the "unofficial" home page of the Extension Master Gardeners of Douglas County Class of 2009! This new website is a place to find news, photos and more about our classes activities, projects, etc.

This is my class in our group photo taken by fellow Master Gardener Jim Blom. This was on the last day of class. We've had a great time working and learning together! We are looking forward to completing our class project next spring.

Class at work in the garden
Here's my class members working hard on our class project at Kennedy School in east Lawrence. This project is a part of our assignment to complete our Extension Master Gardener requirements. We just started on this project last Thursday, November 12, 2009.

We visited the Monarch Watch site on the KU campus awhile back. Here are some of the class looking for "bugs" as part of our class day on entomology. It rained, but we had fun, and admired this lovely garden, which is maintained by the Douglas County Extension Master Gardener's group.
